473 Just a Closer Walk with Thee
Dear FBC Chatty church family,
I pray this finds you well within the graces of our good God.
As we all know, COVID has impacted the Chatty community for months now, but more recently has begun to impact our close family, and friends, and those within our church family.
As many of us had hoped that COVID would be short lived, we are realizing that COVID is going to be around longer than any of us had hoped.
So, join me in prayer for the loved ones, family, and friends that are sick and or in quarantine. Also pray for all of the frontline workers who continue to risk their own health in order to serve the needs of others.
What are we going to do as a church?
We will continue to meet and lift high the name of Jesus and make the gospel known. We will continue to meet for Sunday school and Bible studies.
We are not planning to close the doors of the church. We still have options for those who are able to meet in person.
1. Drive-In service: park toward the front of the main building and tune your radio to 96.3FM.
2. Facebook Live
What is going to change if anything?
We are encouraging people to wear a mask or face covering. This is not a requirement, but a suggestion in order to help slow the spread of the virus.
Mask requirements for Sunday School will be left up to the teacher of the class. If your teacher asks you to wear a mask, please do so with grace and a spirit of gentleness. However, in some of the classrooms that are smaller where social distancing is a challenge, wearing a mask would be a good practice.
Some Sunday School classes may cancel class for the week, but this discission will be left to the teacher of the class, including children’s classes and youth.
In the worship service we will need to do the best we can to social distance and not hug or shake hands.
We will have every other pew roped off.
After we dismiss from worship, we will need to exit the building promptly where we can visit with one another outdoors.
Also, if anyone has any further question, place them in the comments below.
We love you all very much! If anyone is uncomfortable coming in person to worship, that is perfectly okay. I would encourage you to take advantage of one of the other 2 alternatives to the in-person service.
These are trying times for sure, but is not a time to live in fear. King Jesus is still the Lord of all and is still on His throne. So may we continue to lift His name high, and show one another grace as we seek to bring Him honor and glory.
Serving His bride,
